The Franks were a Germanic people who settled in the northeast corner of the Roman province of Gaul, in what is now modern-day France, during the Fifth Century A.D. The Franks valued articles of personal adornment, which were worn as symbols of status and power in both life and death. Our ring is based on a silver spiral armband attributed to Frankish craftsmen and dated to the 6th Century, the period of great expansion under King Clovis and his sons. Produced in cooperation with the British Museum, London. Available in size 6, 7, or 8. Sterling silver. 3/8''W.
