In 1861 William Morris (British, 1834-1896) co-founded an interior design firm (reorganised in 1875 as Morris & Co.) to design and produce a full range of household objects. Morris was a prolific designer of wallpapers and fabrics. Characteristically, his designs were densely patterned and often based on flowers, leaves, and fruits. This umbrella is developed from Corncockle, a printed textile pattern of carnations and sunflowers designed by Morris in 1883. Polyester. Aluminum frame. Automatic open. Folded 11''L. Canopy 42''W.
